Giant Squid caught live on camera!

Japanese researchers caught an adult giant squid 900m below the surface and about 1km away from Japan's coast. For more than four hours they filmed and took pictures of the squid until it escaped, leaving behind a snagged tentacle. The researchers pulled the tentacle onboard to find it was still functional!
